HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nicole Richie and her family now have some protection from the paparazzi.
The 28-year-old star was granted a temporary restraining order Friday against two photographers, People reports. The order also protects her two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, 6 weeks.
The two snappers, Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel, rear-ended the former Simple Life star earlier this month while she was driving in Beverly Hills. Richie claims in her filing that the men "stalk" her and her family, and that they "sit outside my house, waiting for me to leave." She also alleges that they "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in [their] vehicle," causing her "severe emotional distress."
"I am fearful that [their] continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle," Richie said in her filing.
Arrivebene was driving the vehicle that rear-ended Richie on Oct. 5. He was arrested after the accident and charged with driving without a license.
A hearing is set for Nov. 16 to determine whether to extend the orders.
Richie gave birth to her second child with rocker Joel Madden in September.
