Nicole Richie Still Recovering From Illness

Nicole Richie, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nicole Richie is still on the mend from a bout of pneumonia that led to her being hospitalized earlier this month.

"Right now it's important for me to stay in bed and recover," the 28-year-old star wrote Tuesday on her blog. "Reading all of your messages on Twitter and my website has really brightened my spirits and I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you a happy Thanksgiving."

Richie also apologized after her illness forced her to miss a couple of promotional appearances, including the launch of her House of Harlow jewelry line at Bebe in Los Angeles.

"I was truly looking forward to meeting everyone there and sharing that moment and capsule collection with you," she said.

Richie and her boyfriend, rocker Joel Madden, welcomed their second child in September.
