HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nicole Richie has signed on to guest star on the NBC series "Chuck," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 26-year-old star will play a spiteful girl who went to school with Chuck's (Zachary Levi) CIA handler, Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski), and has to confront her at their 10-year high school reunion, the trade publication says.
"Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny," executive producer Josh Schwartz said in a statement. "This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It's going to be really fun."
The spy fantasy series returns for its second season on Sept. 29.
In January, Richie and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, the lead singer for Good Charlotte, welcomed a baby daughter named Harlow.
Richie is best known for starring alongside her pal Paris Hilton in "The Simple Life" reality show.
