PARIS — Paris Hilton has had another brush with the law involving marijuana possession.
The 29-year-old heiress was briefly detained Friday in Corsica after local authorities found about a gram of marijuana in her purse, according to the Corse Matin newspaper.
Authorities at the Figari airport reportedly hauled Hilton in for questioning and released her about 30 minutes later. The publication said Hilton was traveling with "personalities close to power in Malaysia" from the French capital to Porto-Cerno, in Sardinia.
"Just to put an end to these rumors. The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false!" Hilton wrote Saturday on her Twitter page. "I am having the best vacation of my life! What an amazing summer! I feel so blessed and grateful for everything. I Love Life!! :) Now let's move on and everyone focus and enjoy their own summer time!"
Earlier this month, Hilton was taken into custody at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, where she had been watching the World Cup quarterfinal match between Brazil and the Netherlands. The case against her was later dropped.
The incidents come three years after Hilton famously went to jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related driving case.
