HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul has picked up another "Diva" gig.
The 47-year-old singer has revealed that she'll be hosting VH1's "Divas" in New York next month.
"Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's 'Vh1 Divas'! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST," wrote Abdul on her Twitter page Monday night.
Abdul, who announced her departure from "American Idol" earlier this month, said she is looking forward to the talented lineup on this year's program.
"This year's VH1 Divas show will honor Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus- I am so excited!!" she said.
The 2009 edition of the multi-artist presentation will be held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House.
Abdul will also appear on two episodes of the Lifetime series "Drop Dead Diva" in September, with the first airing on Sept. 13.
