HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Arrests warrants have been issued for Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, after they failed to appear in court Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.
The couple was due in a Santa Barbara courtroom to face felony charges of burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy. Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said the couple are felony fugitives again and will have to post $40,000 bail upon their arrest.
Last month, they finally posted $40,000 bond after skipping four court appearances. With today's no-show, that bond has now been forfeited.
The 59-year-old actor and his wife were arrested in September after allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill they rang up during a summer stay at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.
Quaid is perhaps best known for his roles in National Lampoon's Vacation movies, in which he starred as Cousin Eddie.
