HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Renée Zellweger says she finds it easy to roll with life's toughest punches.
"I'm fortunate. I think I was born happy," 39-year-old actress says in the April issue of InStyle. "If I have a bad moment, it doesn't take me long to switch the gear back. I say, 'That sucked,' and move on."
One such challenging moment may have been her brief marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney. The pair married on May 9, 2005, but an annulment followed months later. Now, Zellweger is turning her attention to the football field, where she next appears on screen in "Leatherheads." The film stars and is directed by her longtime buddy — George Clooney.
Says Zellweger: "I heard George was making a movie and I said, 'When?' If he had asked me to make peanut-butter sandwiches for the catering, I would have said, 'Crunchy or smooth?' "
The Oscar-winning actress says the experience working on the film, in which Clooney stars as a 1925 football hero, was a blast, particularly being a single woman.
"It's never less than great with him," she says of Clooney. "And poor me, I had to watch guys throw a football all day ... Talk about living the dream."
