HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — While Rihanna may have called a truce with Chris Brown, her family is far from thrilled about the pair potentially dating again.
"Everyone wants them to take a break, to cool off," a relative of Rihanna's tells People. "No one wants them back together."
According to reports, the couple reunited over the weekend at a Miami Beach home belonging to Sean "Diddy" Combs, just weeks after Brown, 19, was arrested for allegedly making criminal threats against Rihanna, 21. He is currently free on $50,000 bail.
A Rihanna family member told the magazine they believed the relationship was over after the alleged incident, which took place on Feb. 8, the day of the Grammy Awards.
"I'm concerned," said the relative. "I don't want her to make a mistake, and I don't want her to ever go through his again."
On Monday, Rihanna and Brown were seen returning to Los Angeles together.
The "Kiss Kiss" singer has only spoken out once publicly since the incident, releasing a statement that expressed his remorse.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," said Brown. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
