HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Roger Federer has some new partners out on the court.
The 27-year-old tennis champ and his wife, Miroslava "Mirka" Vavrinec, welcomed twin girls late Thursday night in Switzerland, the world's No. 1 player announced on his official Web site.
The couple's twins were named Charlene Riva and Myla Rose.
"This is the greatest day of our lives. Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well," said Federer.
Federer and Vavrinec announced the pregnancy in March.
They tied the knot one month later in Federer's hometown of Basel.
Federer met the former WTA tennis player at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, in which they both represented Switzerland.
