LONDON — Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood was arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of assault, the Associated Press reports.
Police arrested the 62-year-old guitarist near his home in southern England. He was released on Thursday after posting bail.
"I can confirm that there was an incident last night and that Ronnie Wood was arrested," his spokesman told AP.
The arrest comes on the heels of the rocker finalizing his highly publicized divorce last month. His marriage collapsed after he admittedly started dating a 20-year-old Russian cocktail waitress named Ekaterina Ivanova.
Wood and his ex-wife, Jo, were married for 24 years and have two children together.
