HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Roseanne Barr is eyeing a return to the small screen.
The 56-year-old actress has joined forces with one of her former "Roseanne" producers to star in a new family comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Joining Barr on the project is producer Caryn Mandabach and "Arrested Development" writer Jim Vallely. The project has already been pitched to Fox, the trade publication says.
Barr starred as a working-class housewife for nine season on the ABC sitcom "Roseanne," which ended its run in 1997.
The comedian has enjoyed limited success ever since, hosting a syndicated talk show and a reality series for ABC.
