HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Despite her family inquiring about a restraining order to keep ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan away, Samantha Ronson does not plan to seek legal protection.
"Samantha has no plan to request a restraining order," Ronson's attorney told People. "There is no basis for one."
The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that Ronson's family reached out after the couple's recent breakup, but a source told the mag the deejay was not involved.
"Sam does not want a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan," said the source. "Sam had nothing to do with the restraining order against Lindsay that the police are talking about."
"Sam and Lindsay are broken up, but Sam does not feel she's in any danger whatsoever," added the insider. "She thinks the whole thing is absurd."
The couple's breakup reportedly happened Monday following a string of events that left the 22-year-old Lohan on the outside looking in. On Friday, Lohan was turned away when she tried to attend a party for Ronson's sister. She later posted a message on Twitter reading: "So-you win, you broke my heart. now go away. i loved you"
That was followed by the 31-year-old Ronson changing the locks on her Hollywood Hills home, where Lohan had been residing for some time.
"We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself," Lohan told E! News after the split.
