HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Shaquille O'Neal will soon have one less ring to worry about.
The basketball star's wife, Va'shaundya O'Neal, plans to seek a divorce after filing for a legal separation Monday in Los Angeles, court papers show.
In her filing, Va'shaundya O'Neal cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. She is seeking full custody of their four children and spousal support.
Shaq and his wife, whose maiden name is Shaunie Nelson, tied the knot on Dec. 26, 2002.
The couple previously reconciled after the 7-foot-1 center filed for divorce in 2007 in Florida's Miami-Dade County.
The 15-time NBA all-star is currently in the midst of his first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He owns four NBA championship rings between his days with the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.
