HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Shauna Sand is seeking to block the release of a sex video that she made with her current boyfriend, which happened to fall into the hands of Vivid Entertainment.
The former Playboy model admitted to TMZ that the footage does exist, but is fighting the distributor's plan to release the hardcore sex video on Oct. 19.
"Yes I did make a sex tape with my boyfriend earlier this year. In fact I've made several sex tapes, but I certainly didn't sign off on this and Vivid has no right to put it out," she told the celebrity gossip site. "I am trying to get a hold of my attorney now."
Vivid, meanwhile, is already promoting the video on its Web site.
"Shauna is every guy's fantasy of what a California blonde should be, with her 33DD/22/33 figure, stunning blue eyes, pouty lips and long blonde hair," reads a promotional statement from Vivid founder Steven Hirsch. "We were approached by a third party, who brought us footage of Shauna having sex with her current boyfriend and we were immediately interested in acquiring it. The scenes are of an incredible high def quality, which makes it the hottest celebrity sex footage I've ever seen. Shauna was obviously having fun and loving what she was doing on camera and she is bursting with sex appeal."
Hirsch told TMZ that the company has no plans to stop the release.
"We're comfortable with our legal position in releasing this footage," he said.
Lorenzo Lamas, who shares custody of his three children with ex-wife Sand, was initially furious about the sex tape, but eventually calmed down. The actor went as far as to write a handwritten letter promising not to fight for custody of the former's couple's children.
"I, Lorenzo Lamas, will not seek custody of my minor children with Shauna Sand. Even in the event of a release of a sex tape with her and her boyfriend," read the letter obtained by TMZ.
The video showdown comes after the family's new E! reality show, "Leave it to Lamas," debuted over the weekend.
"Isn't that convenient that her tape just happened to be leaked the day after my show premiered," said Shayne Lamas, Sand's former stepdaughter. "I just feel bad for my little sisters."
