LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Music star Bruno Mars has been arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of drug possession.
The singer and songwriter was busted early Sunday at 2:40 a.m. after security at the Hard Rock Hotel confronted him in a bathroom and allegedly found him to be in possession of narcotics, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
A police official told the newspaper they did not know the nature of the drugs Mars allegedly possessed.
The 23-year-old star, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, had performed a show at the hotel on Saturday night.
Mars recently scored his first hit single in "Just the Way You Are." Prior to that, he was best known for co-writing and singing the hook on B.o.B.'s "Nothin' On You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire."
