HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's over for Slash and his wife, Perla Ferrar.
According to TMZ, the 45-year-old rocker filed for divorce Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their two sons, London, 8, and Cash, 4. He also listed July 15, 2010 as the date of separation.
Slash and Ferrar have been married since October 2001. They reportedly did not have a prenup.
Sources close to the twosome told TMZ the breakup is extremely acrimonious, but the rocker's rep told People, "from Slash's perspective the split is amicable."
In March, Slash released a solo album featuring the likes of Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell and Dave Grohl. Also appearing on the release were his former Guns N' Roses mates Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler.
