HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tara Reid says she's tired of being portrayed as a wild party girl.
The "American Pie" actress claims there's nothing unusual about her lifestyle, and she even took a few shots at Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan as she defended herself.
"What have I ever really done? Dance on a table? Who doesn't drink with their friends and have a good time? I don't understand why people punish others for being happy," Reid tells OK! magazine.
"When Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton got their DUIs, they got punished. They deserved it," she continued. "But my punishment, I don't feel like it fits the crime. Enough."
32-year-old Tara insists her lifestyle gets blown way out of proportion by the tabloids and that she is simply having a good time like everyone else her age.
"If I have a drink in my hand, it doesn't make me an alcoholic," she said. "If I want a glass of wine, I want a glass of wine. I shouldn't be afraid of it because of what the media might say.
"Anything you do, you're screwed. That's the lesson I've learned."
