HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Taylor Swift reportedly has a special treat in store for Kanye West at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 20-year-old country star is planning to sing a song about West at Sunday's ceremony, a source tells the Associated Press.
Swift reportedly penned the song earlier this year and performed it Friday at a secret VMA rehearsal. The track is on her upcoming album Speak Now, due out in October.
West famously stole the microphone and cut off Swift's acceptance speech for best female video at last year's VMAs. He apologized immediately after the incident and issued a second plea for forgiveness last week. The hip-hop star also hinted that he might sing a song about Swift when he makes his own scheduled performance at the VMAs, taking place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it," he said on Twitter. "If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."
