HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A Los Angeles judge has extended a temporary restraining order against Britney Spears' former manager, Sam Lutfi, and her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, The Associated Press reports.
Judge Aviva K. Bobb made the ruling on Monday in order to allow more time to hear arguments in the case.
The father of the pop star, Jamie Spears, was expected to testify Monday afternoon. He and attorney, Andrew Wallet, were named co-conservators over the 27-year-old singer's personal and financial affairs a year ago. They claim that Lutfi, Ghalib and attorney Jon Eardley have attempted to interfere with the court-ordered conservatorship and are attempting to have the restraining order extended.
In an interview with People, Lutfi's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, denied any wrongdoing on the part of his client.
"I don't think anyone would want to have on public record allegations of behavior that weren't committed," he told the magazine. "A restraining order is to protect someone against stalkers and people who want to commit violence, and that description doesn't fit my client."
