'The Other Guys' Take Down DiCaprio's 'Inception' at Weekend Box Office

The Other Guys, Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, movie, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Other Guys have managed to do something nobody else has down for three weeks – take down Leonardo DiCaprio's Inception.

The Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg buddy-cop comedy had a $35.6 million opening to claim the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office, according to studio estimates released Sunday.

The Christopher Nolan film slipped to second place at a distant $18.6 millon, followed by the dance sequel Step Up 3-D, which debuted at No. 3 with $15.5 million.

Angelina Jolie's Salt ($11.1 million) and Steve Carell's Dinner for Schmucks ($10.5 million) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, to round out the top five films over the weekend.

Weekend Box Office (Aug. 6-8):

1. The Other Guys, $35.6 million.

2. Inception, $18.6 million.

3. Step Up 3-D, $15.5 million.

4. Salt, $11.1 million.
