HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tiger Woods is ready for another round. The golf star and his wife, model Elin Nordegren, are adding to their family.
"Elin and I are proud to announce that we are expecting our second child in late winter," the 32-year-old PGA player announced on his official Web site Tuesday.
Woods and Nordegren, who married in 2004, welcomed daughter Sam Alexis Woods in June 2007. Woods has long said that he hoped to have more than one child. He was an only child, while Nordegren has a twin sister.
Woods will have plenty of time to prepare for the couple's new arrival, since he's still in the midst of recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee following his U.S. Open win in June.
"Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled," Woods said. "While my injury has been disappointing and frustrating, it has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. I can't begin to tell you how rewarding it is being a dad and spending time with her and Elin.
"The injury has been a blessing and a disappointment."
