HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel may have been more than just friendly in bed.
"Tiger told her he would divorce his wife for her," an insider reveals in the latest issue of In Touch Weekly.
Woods, 33, has been under the microscope ever since a single-car accident outside his home on Nov. 27. The accident came shortly after the National Enquirer published a story alleging that the PGA star was having an affair with Uchitel, a New York nightclub manager.
Since the first affair allegation, several more women have stepped forward claiming to have engaged in sexual trysts with Woods, including former VH1 Tool Academy contestant Jaimee Grubbs. However, several hundred alleged e-mails between Woods and Uchitel seem to signal that their relationship may have sent the golfer over the moon.
"I know it's brutal on you that you can't be with me all the time. I get it. It f---ing kills me, too," Woods allegedly wrote in a Nov. 9 e-mail obtained by the magazine. "I finally found someone I connect with, someone I have never found like this. Not even at home. You want someone to witness your life. I want you to lay next to me, lay on me or where ever you want to lay. F---. Why didn't we find each other years ago. We wouldn't be having this conversation."
In another exchange, Woods seemingly appears jealous about Uchitel's dating past, in which she has been linked to such stars as actor David Boreanaz.
"I don't know if this is going to work," he allegedly wrote. "I thought I was getting to know you, but it feels like I'm just another person who happens to be famous. Every time I think about it, I get a lump in my throat. Some of the other parts of your past really get to me. I don’t know what person I was falling for so hard. The one I got to know on the phone, e-mail, text and in person. Or the one who likes famous people. I am so confused, because what my brain is saying and what my heart is saying are two different things. Is it the Rachel I know or the character? That's what's hard. It guts me to think I've fallen for the wrong one."
Uchitel has denied the affair publicly, but is reportedly seeking a buyout to remain silent on their relationship. Woods, meanwhile, has admitted to "transgressions," but has yet to elaborate on the allegations against him.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said in a statement last week on his Web site. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."
