HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — In the midst of infidelity allegations, Tiger Woods has received the full support of his biggest sponsors.
Nike, Gatorade and EA Sports all released statements Wednesday expressing their continued commitment to Woods, who has been accused of multiple affairs.
"Nike supports Tiger and his family. Our relationship remains unchanged," the apparel brand said in a brief statement.
"Tiger and his family have our support as they work through this private matter," a Gatorade spokesperson said.
EA Sports, makers of the PGA star's popular Tiger Woods Golf video game, also said their relationship with Woods remains in tact.
"Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged," said an EA Sports spokesperson. "We respect Tiger's privacy, we wish him a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course."
On Wednesday, Woods offered a heartfelt apology on his official Web site, although he never fully confirmed any of the affair rumors surrounding him.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," the 33-year-old golfer wrote. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."
