NEW YORK — Staffers involved in the production of Tyra Banks' talk show were left unhappy during a Christmas party, which the fashion mogul organized to thank them for their hard work.
According to reports, people attending the party were only served some cheeseburgers and did not receive gifts.
Banks, who just negotiated a $30 million deal when she moved her show from Los Angeles to New York, threw a "modest holiday party at a Lower East Side dive bar and her employees drank a lot because there was no food," the New York Post quoted cyber-gossip columnist Janet Charlton as saying.
"Tyra arrived for a brief stop, looking like a million bucks, and said she was on her way to Italy. Before she left, she told them 'I want to thank you guys for working so hard — I have a special guest — here's Santa!' " the newspaper reported.
However, the Santa brought McDonald's cheeseburgers for the employees, rather than bearing gifts.
"Unhappy workers ended up drinking themselves senseless and brawling in the street. One needed an ambulance," the paper said.
Representatives for Banks were unavailable for comment.
