HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Leave it to Funny or Die to mock Tiger Woods' new Nike commercial.
Will Ferrell's comedy site is poking fun at the embattled golfer's 30-second ad, which debuted last Wednesday and features the voice of his late father, Earl Woods.
Using the lines of Morgan Freeman in The Shawshank Redemption, one spoof sees Woods feeling "burning down there" and learning that it's probably better not to text.
In another more raunchy slap at Woods, the voice says: "Tiger, I am more prone to ask the obvious to promote discussion, like are you mentally retarded?" It then proceeds to mock the golfer's sexual adventures.
Nike is one of the PGA star's major sponsors who stuck by his side throughout his admitted infidelity, which first surfaced in November.
"We support Tiger and his family. As he returns to competitive golf, the ad addresses his time away from the game using the powerful words of his father," the company said last week in a statement.
