NEW YORK — Kate Hudson dropped by Thursday's Late Show with David Letterman, where the host dug in about her relationship with New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez.
"You're a big Yankees fan, and you're friends with Alex Rodriguez," Letterman teased the 30-year-old actress about her boyfriend.
"Yeah, he's a friend of mine. Nice guy," replied Hudson.
Letterman then wondered how the couple met, which prompted Hudson to respond: "Can't we talk about the holidays?"
"Yes, let's talk about Thankgiving. Did Alex Rodriguez come to your house for Thanksgiving? quipped Letterman, drawing a huge laugh from his guest.
"Is he a nice guy, Alex?" Letterman continued.
"Yeah, he's a nice guy," responded Hudson. "You just can't help yourself! You just can't! I knew it was going to come at some point!"
Letterman then pointed out that A-Rod picked up his game when Hudson started showing up at the ballpark.
"It was a really fun summer," said Hudson, who admitted that watching the Yankees win the World Series this season "was awesome."
