HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Simon Cowell was actually blushing Monday night when he was Jay Leno's guest on The Tonight Show.
The American Idol judge changed colors when the host asked him to set the rumors straight about his reported engagement.
"Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes," replied Cowell. "And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy."
Cowell, 50, also opened up about his proposal and the sparkling engagement ring he purchased for his fiancé, Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.
"I was asleep I think," Cowell joked about the day he proposed. "No, look I bought her the ring in London."
As for the happy couple's wedding plans, Cowell teased that it would happen sometime "within the next 10 years."
Hussainy, 36, later came on stage, where she got a quick kiss from Cowell and sat holding hands with him. So do the lovebirds have plans for children?
"I'm kind of torn because I'm a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of me's around in the future," said Cowell.
