LOS ANGELES — Taylor Swift managed to keep the stage to herself at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
A year after Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech for best female video, The 20-year-old country star sang about the incident in a new untitled song.
Swift's performance began with video clips of the infamous stage-crashing moment.
"I guess you really did it this time/ Left yourself in your war path/ Lost your balance on a tight rope/ Lost your mind trying to get it back," she sang.
While West is never officially named in the ballad, lyrics such as "32 and still growing up now" take away the guessing game.
"It's all right, just wait and see. Your string of lights is still bright to me. You're still an innocent," sang Swift.
The song will appear on Swift's third album, Speak Now, dropping Oct. 25.
