HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Miley Cyrus is pushing the limits again with her racy "Can't Be Tamed" music video, which debuted Tuesday.
"The video isn't about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes. It's about explaining the song and living the lyrics," the 17-year-old singer and actress told E! News, which premiered the video. "I don't want to be in a cage. I want to be free and do what I love."
For her new single, Cyrus teamed up with her long-time collaborators Tim James and Antonina Armato ("Seven Things" and "See You Again"), MTV Award-winning director Robert Hales (Justin Timberlake, Gnarls Barkley, Kings of Leon) and choreographer Jamal Sims to create a video that features plenty of racy dance choreography.
"It's the first step to growing up but I think it's done the right way," Cyrus said of the video. "I'm really proud of it."
The new single is the title track for the star's forthcoming album, which drops on June 22.
