The 47-year-old actor is accused to attacking a TMZ photographer when he and his 12-year-old daughter arrived at New York’s LaGuardia airport this week, an incident the former “Cheers” star jokingly likens to his upcoming movie “Zombieland.”

“I wrapped a movie called `Zombieland,’ in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character,” Harrelson said in a statement. “With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie.”

TMZ released video of the alleged incident on Thursday and claims Harrelson broke their photographer’s camera.

Harrelson has had several run-ins with the paparazzi in the past, including an incident in 2006 that led to a lawsuit by TMZ photographer Josh Levine.
