HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Zsa Zsa Gabor underwent a successful hip replacement surgery Monday morning after injuring herself over the weekend when she fell out of bed.
Gabor's publicist, John Blanchette, tells CNN the surgery lasted three hours. The actress will likely remain hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for at least four more days.
"We're all very relieved," said Blanchette. "Her doctors are happy with the results."
The 93-year-old star was watching Jeopardy on Saturday night when she reached to answer the phone and fell. While Gabor has been mostly confined to a wheelchair since a 2002 car accident, her daughter insists this latest health setback isn't dire.
"My mother is not in critical condition or at death's door," Constance Francesca Hilton told the Los Angeles Times in a statement. "She was on the phone in the hospital today while having lunch."
Gabor has appeared in more than 40 films over the years. Her late sisters, Eva and Magda, were also actresses and socialites.
The Hungarian-born star has also received plenty of attention for her love life, having been married eight times. She was also famously sentenced to 72 hours in jail for slapping a Beverly Hills police officer after a 1989 traffic stop.
