HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Usher is shooting down reports that his wife, Tameka Foster, has filed for separation.
"It's 100% not true," the R&B star's manager, Benny Medina, tells Usmagazine.com.
Usher and Foster were married last August in Atlanta, Ga.
"It was beautiful and private," the 29-year-old singer previously told Us of the wedding ceremony. "We didn't have a first dance — but we had a lovely, intimate dinner filled with candlelight and flowers."
On Friday, the new dad dropped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he chatted about being a father for the first time.
"He is my reason for living," the "U Remind Me" singer told the host of his 6-month old son, Usher Raymond V, who he said was a "big surprise."
The multi-talented star also said he's "learning more and more about the beauty of fatherhood" with each passing day.
"As an African-American, to be there for my child is so important when there are so many young African-American kids without their fathers," he said. "I just want him to grow up to be as wise as he can possibly be, kind and open hearted. [Fatherhood] changes everything about me."
As for his wife, Usher says, "She's built up ... the foundation of who I am. I want to see more men standing with their women. I want to see more men be open and honest about where they are in life."
