HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gwyneth Paltrow says those tabloid rumors about her marriage being in jeopardy are simply "ridiculous." In fact, she says family life has made her "whole."
In the May issue of British Glamour, the 35-year-old actress claims the paparazzi made up the rumor after she refused to reveal the whereabouts of her husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin, to photographers.
Speaking of the incident, Paltrow says, "They were like, 'You're breaking up.' ... Ridiculous."
Instead, Paltrow, who soon appears in the film "Iron Man" alongside Robert Downey Jr., says she's found happiness that she's never experienced before.
"Having a family has made me feel whole," she says. "I used to always be searching and always lonely. I never feel like that any more."
Paltrow and Martin were married in 2003 and often find themselves front and center in the tabloids. Much of that is due to the fact that they are rarely photographed together, something Paltrow says is by choice.
"You will never see us out publicly," she says. "We just don't want to be one of those couples."
"It evolved that way," she continues, confessing that she's let her guard down in the past, only to end up disappointing her husband in the process. "He gets furious if I say something about him."
In addition to Martin, much of the Academy Award-winning star's happiness is due to the couple's two children, daughter Apple, 4, and son Moses, 2.
"Apple is an open person," Paltrow says. "She's Taurus; grounded, calm, funny. Moses is Aries, he's the most sweet, sensitive thing but then he'll kick and karate-chop and spit and tumble. He's a real boy."
