HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke have denied a Star magazine claim that the former "Dancing With the Stars" partners had an affair.
A rep for Lachey tells People.com that the story is "completely false and cannot be further from the truth."
Under the headline, "Dancing Couple Caught Cheating," Star claims the season two champions had an affair during the show's recently-concluded nationwide tour.
"They didn't go very far to cover it up," a tour insider tells Star. "Cheryl was constantly draped all over Drew. They held hands, had their legs intertwined and were always touching inappropriately."
The report goes on to claim that Burke's former boyfriend, Matthew Lawrence, caught the pair in the act during a tour stop in Jacksonville, Fla. on Jan. 22. The following day, Lachey is said to have confronted Lawrence and his brother, Joey, outside the tour bus.
"If you talk about this, I'll bury you Matt. I'll bury you Joey. I'm serious I will hurt you," the former 98 Degrees member reportedly yelled.
A rep for Burke added to People: "The story that Cheryl is involved with Drew Lachey started two years ago when they were partners on 'Dancing with the Stars.' It wasn't true then and it isn't true now."
Lachey married his childhood sweetheart, Lea, on October, 14 2000. The couple welcomed a daughter, Isabella, in 2006.
