HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Madonna has titled her new album "Hard Candy" and will release her latest set of tunes on April 29.
The album will be the "Material Girl's" final studio release with her longtime record label Warner Bros. Last October, she signed a groundbreaking 10-year recording, touring and merchandising deal with Artist Nation, a new venture launched by top concert promoter Live Nation.
Entertainment Weekly's Web site first reported the news, and Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, later confirmed the announcement. Rosenberg tells Entertainment Weekly that Madonna "loves candy."
The first single from the 49-year-old pop star's new album is "Four Minutes." Madonna's last release was 2005's "Confessions on a Dance Floor," which debuted in the top spot on U.S. pop charts.
Warner Bros. will also be releasing a hits collection from Madonna in the future.
