HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — LeAnn Rimes was questioned by police Thursday after being accused of hit-and-run, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The 26-year-old country star was reportedly driving in Brentwood, Calif., where she was accused of leaving the scene of an accident that took place around 7:45 p.m.
Rimes was later questioned by authorities at her home.
At this time, no charges have been filed against her.
"There was a routine police investigation into this incident, and a police report was filed," the singer's rep told People. "We are confident that this matter will be resolved shortly and LeAnn will be cleared."
The incident took place hours after Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian went public with their relationship for the first time. The pair, who were first rumored to be having an affair in March, spent the day golfing at the Valencia Country Club.
