Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon strike a pose after performing live on NBC's "Today Show" at Rockefeller Center on October 2, 2009 in New York City.
Carey performed three new songs on the morning show — "Obsessed," "I Want to Know What Love is" (a cover of the Foreigner classic) and "H.A.T.E.U." — in addition to her 1991 hit "Make it Happen."
"Everybody's imperfect, and we try to be the best we can but you know, it's tough," Carey said of the meaning behind her latest album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," which hit stores on September 29th.
