ATLANTA —The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast gathered in Georgia today for A.J. Jewell's funeral.
Jewell, the ex-fiance of housewife Kandi Burruss, died last Friday from severe head injuries suffered in a fight at the Body Tap Club in Atlanta. Police later arrested Fredrick Richardson, who allegedly got into a one-on-one fight with Jewell in the club's parking lot. Richardson, who was a fellow employee at the strip joint, was charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Members of the "Housewives" cast have been Tweeting about the funeral since yesterday.
"Tomorrow is gonna b hard," Burruss Tweeted Thursday night. "Thanks for the prayers. you all have been lifting my spirits daily... He will truly be missed!"
"Tonight and tomorrow is NOT going to be easy," wrote Kim Zolciak. "Please keep Kandi in your prayers. Thank you guys so much."
"While flying this morning, I was thinking life!, posted NeNe Leakes, who later added, "Sad sad day."
Lisa Wu-Hartwell wrote: "Headed to AJ's funeral. Rip AJ. He will be missed."
"2days AJ's funeral serv let's keep Kandi & AJ's family n our prayers and pray that they b strong during this difficult x," posted Sheree Whitfield.
