HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Courtney Love has hit another sour note.
The rocker no longer has legal custody of Frances Bean Cobain, her 17-year-old daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kirk Cobain, TMZ reports.
On Friday, the court appointed Cobain's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, as the minor's new legal guardians, according to legal documents obtained by the celebrity gossip site.
The guardianship was reportedly established after a fairly long period of unstable behavior by the 45-year-old Love.
While the new guardians will have power over Frances Bean both personally and financially, they will not have control of the trust that was established after her father's death.
Love and Cobain were married in Hawaii on Feb. 24, 1992. They welcomed their only child six months later.
Cobain died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in April 1994 at the age of 27.
