NEW YORK — Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord is dishing her parenting skills in a new book, but not everyone will be impressed.
In one excerpt of her tome obtained by the New York Daily News, the 36-year-old reality star admits she drank while pregnant.
"Throughout my pregnancy, I gave into every craving I felt," writes McCord in Little Kids Big City: Tales From a Real House in New York City. "When I wanted to have a drink, I did."
Her pregnancy cocktails included the night she went into labor with her now 6-year-old son, Francois. McCord reveals in the book that she sipped champagne as her husband, Simon van Kempen, drove them to the hospital.
The couple also took their infant son, Johan (now age 4), to Manhattan hotspot Mercer Kitchen when he was just 48 hours old so they could knock back some drinks.
Of course, the unconventional pair will leave their kids at home on occasion when they want to tie one on.
"We're very lucky that we're able to pay our nanny extra for two evenings a week to go out," writes McCord.
The parenting book, co-authored by van Kempen, hits bookshelves on Tuesday.
