HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David Boreanaz is the latest Hollywood star to find himself in the middle of a cheating scandal.
The 40-year-old Bones star has admitted to cheating on wife Jaime Bergman after a mistress threatened to go public with their affair.
"Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities," Boreanaz admitted on Monday to People magazine. "I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible."
"I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with," he continued. "She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion."
So who is the mistress at the center of the affair scandal? Boreanaz didn't disclose the woman's name but most speculate she is none other than Rachel Uchitel, who has been previously linked to the actor. Uchitel also famously blew the lid on Tiger Woods' infidelity, although she never confessed to having an affair with the golfer.
Boreanaz and Bergman tied the knot in November 2001. They have an 8-year-old son, Jaden, and an 8-month-old daughter, Bardot.
"We're working on our marriage," Boreanaz told the mag. "We're working on repairing what has been damaged so badly."
