Alanis Morissette Pregnant with First Baby

"yes, happy news...i'm pregnant :)," the Canadian singer, who married rapper Mario "MC Souleye" Treadway on May 22, wrote Wednesday on her Twitter page. "we're so excited to start our family....xo a"

Morissette also shared the baby news in the latest issue of Us Weekly, listing "I am pregnant!" as the last item in a "25 Things You Don't Know About Me" feature.

The due date for the couple's first child has not been revealed.

Morissette, 36, and Souleye, 30, started dating in October 2009. They exchanged vows months later at their Los Angeles home.

"We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other," the Grammy winner wrote on her Twitter page after the wedding.
