HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A woman accused of attacking Leonardo DiCaprio with a broken beer bottle in 2005 has pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon.
Aretha Wilson, 40, entered her plea Wednesday in Los Angeles, where she remains behind bars. She was extradited to the U.S. last month from Canada.
If convicted, Wilson faces up to four years in prison. Her next court date is scheduled for Aug. 23.
Wilson allegedly slashed the actor's face at a Hollywood party. His injuries required 17 stitches.
A Los Angeles judge previously issued a protective order requiring Wilson to stay at least 500 yards away from DiCaprio and two witnesses to the alleged attack.
