It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a star flash his (or her) grill around. But David Arquette changed that, stepping out in West Hollywood Tuesday with golden teeth. According to Arquette, however, it’s not a fashion statement; rather, it’s a dental health matter.

“I go through them like crazy. I’m breaking them and cracking them all the time. So I said to my dentist, ‘How do I not do this?’ and he said, ‘Well, we can put gold for a little while,'” the actor told Page Six.
Thanks to Arquette, we were inspired to look back some of the other famous guys (and ladies!) who aren’t afraid to bling out their mouths every now and then.
Ryan Lochte donned a custom-made stars and stripes grill at the 2012 Olympic Games, which made some fans yell ‘Jeah!’ and other just scratch their heads. Justin Beiber dabbled in the trend back in 2013, but perhaps the most famous grillz of all date back to Nelly circa 2005, who literally put his money where his mouth is.

Miley Cyrus carries her grill around in a retainer case, so you never know when the star is going to whip it out. And Beyoncé has been known to dabble in tooth accessorizing.
