HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kate Winslet has found happiness after splitting with husband Sam Mendes earlier this year.
Winslet and Mendes separated in March after nearly seven years of marriage. They have one child together, a 6-year-old son named Joe. The Reader star also has a 9-year-old daughter, Mia, with her first husband Jim Threapleton, whom she divorced in 2001.
"I look at these gigantic children and I think, wow, you're mine! I couldn't be more grateful," Winslet tells Hello! magazine. "And so this time now is really about focusing on them and working when I can and when the opportunity presents itself, and I'm just very, very fortunate to have two such glorious kids."
Winslet is rumored to be dating British model Louis Dowler, a 6-foot hunk who has appeared in fashion campaigns for the likes of Burberry and Paul Smith.
