HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David Arquette has apologized to estranged wife Courteney Cox for sharing too many details about the couple's split.
"I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing, but while doing that I shared too much," Arquette said Wednesday on his Twitter page. "It's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled."
During his chat with Stern, Arquette revealed he and Cox stopped having sex months ago. He also said the actress had grown tired of his immaturity and didn't want to be his "mother" anymore.
Arquette told his Twitter followers that he's still "figuring out how to be the best person I can be."
"I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned," he said.
Arquette, 39, and Cox, 43, announced their separation on Monday. The twosome, who married in 1999, have a 6-year-old daughter, Coco.
