HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Maria Sharapova and Sasha Vujacic celebrated their one-year anniversary earlier this week by getting engaged.
"We are engaged and are both really happy," the Los Angeles Lakers star told the Associated Press Thursday night. "It's good and now we can focus on other things."
Vujacic reportedly proposed to the three-time Grand Slam champ on Tuesday, a year after the pair first met at a friend's barbecue.
"I had to do it like a gentlemen," the Slovenian guard said of the proposal.
Sharapova, 23, and Vujacic, 26, have yet to set a wedding date.
