NEW YORK — Charlie Sheen has been hospitalized after police him found drunk and naked at a New York hotel early Tuesday morning.
Security at The Plaza Hotel called police shortly after 2 a.m. when they noticed the actor's room had been trashed, sources told the New York Post.
Sheen, 45, reportedly told officers he had been "out partying" and returned to the hotel with a woman, only to fly into a rage when he discovered his wallet and cell phone were missing.
The woman in the room with Sheen was a prostitute, a police official told the paper.
The Two and a Half Men star went to a nearby hospital with his ex-wife Denise Richards, who was also staying at the hotel with the couple's two daughters.
The incident is the latest setback for Sheen. He was arrested last Christmas after he allegedly held a knife to estranged wife Brooke Mueller's throat during a holiday getaway to Aspen, Colo. In August, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in the domestic violence case as part of a plea deal that resulted in two other charges being dropped against him.
