HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — When it comes to being one of the biggest stars on the planet, Angelina Jolie doesn't understand what all the fuss is about.
"I don't find myself that interesting in that way," the 35-year-old actress told Matt Lauer in an interview that aired on Tuesday's Today Show. "I have a full life. But, you know, I do the same thing every day in my natural life. I wear the same thing every day. I don't go out."
Jolie admitted that "it's a weird time right now" with so much media attention centered on her and partner Brad Pitt, as well as the couple's six children - Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 2.
"I just assume the older I get, the more it'll go away," she said. "The more private I'll become."
When it's all said and done, the actress said she's hopeful her children won't have any regrets about how they were raised in the public spotlight.
"Hopefully they're happy and they know that they were loved," said Jolie, who next stars opposite Johnny Depp in The Tourist, opening in theaters this weekend. "And that they were encouraged to be who they are and not pushed into something that they're not. So, hopefully they'll be the strong, beautiful individuals that they are today, and be happy in their lives; be fulfilled in their lives and be living their lives honestly."
