HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Billy Ray Cyrus took to Twitter on Friday after a video surfaced showing his daughter, Miley Cyrus, smoking a bong.
"Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself," wrote Billy Ray, who is currently in the midst of divorcing his wife, Tish. "Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now."
In the video obtained by TMZ, the Hannah Montana star is seen smoking out of a bong at a party held at her Los Angeles home on Nov. 28, five days after she turned 18.
Sources tell TMZ that Miley wasn't smoking marijuana. Instead, she was allegedly inhaling a natural herb called salvia, which is legal in California and has hallucinogenic effects.
"Okay, I'm about to lose it now," Miley says after taking a hit from the bong. "I'm having a little bit of a trip right now."
She later remarks how a partygoer looks like her ex-boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.
"Is that me tripping? Does that look like Liam at all?" she giggles.
The video was reportedly stolen from one of Miley's friends.
